Contractors insurance

Coverage built for the work you do.

Contractors face risk on every job — from the tools in the truck to the work left behind after the project is done. At Graybeal, we work with contractors across a wide range of trades to make sure coverage is structured around how you actually operate, not just what's standard.

General Liability and beyond

The foundation of contractor coverage.

General liability is the starting point for most contractors — covering bodily injury, property damage, and completed operations if something goes wrong on a job or after it's finished. Depending on your work, you may also need commercial auto, workers compensation, inland marine for tools and equipment, and professional liability if you provide advice or consulting as part of your services. We work through each coverage area with you so nothing critical gets missed.

BOP vs Standalone coverage

One policy or several?

For contractors with employees and a physical operation, a Business Owners Policy can bundle general liability, property, and business income coverage into a single streamlined policy — often at a lower cost than buying each piece separately. For larger or more complex operations, standalone policies give you more flexibility to match coverage to your specific risk. We help you figure out which structure makes sense before you commit.

Ag and commercial contractors

Working on farms and agricultural properties?

Contractors who work on farms, ranches, and ag facilities face exposure that doesn't always fit neatly into standard contractor policies. Equipment, structures, and operations on agricultural properties carry their own set of risks — and we understand both sides of that equation. If your work takes you onto ag ground, it's worth making sure your coverage follows you there.
